Corporate governance of TechRanch is provided by a core group of dedicated directors, several of which who have been with the organization since inception. The Board of Directors are professionals spanning many business disciplines including marketing, finance, operations, management and the law. They not only provide corporate oversight to TechRanch but many advise client companies at TechRanch on a pro bono basis.

John O'Donnell | Executive Director
John O’Donnell is the founder and Executive Director of TechRanch and is a Venture Partner with Buerk Dale Victor, LLC. He is the founder of the Bridger Private Capital Network (BPCN); the Big Sky/Jackson Hole Venture Capital Conference and the Montana BioScience Alliance. John was the Director of Business Development for Onvia. He received a BA from the University of Colorado.
Gary Bloomer | Director of Client Development
Gary arrived at TechRanch in 2003 as the first Director of Client Development and has since taken on many of the operational duties for the organization. Prior to coming to TechRanch, Gary was a partner in a seed-stage venture capital fund located in Boulder, CO. He holds a BA with honors and an MBA both from the University of Colorado where he was an Academic All-American Scholar Athlete.
Prairie Lee | Business Manager
Prairie joined TechRanch in 2005 and is responsible for event planning and marketing, as well as AP/AR support to the Bookkeeper, client agreement, service provider, and website management. A Montana native, Prairie came from The Nature Conservancy’s Pine Butte Guest Ranch where she was the guest ranch assistant. Prairie earned her BS in Agricultural Business with a minor in Economics from Montana State University.
Joelle Starr | Student Assistant
Joelle joined TechRanch in Fall 2007. In addition to office maintenance, Joelle is responsible for a variety of tasks as needed. These include purchasing, marketing assistance, grant research, and event planning and execution. Prior to her time at TechRanch, Joelle developed her professional skills working for a diverse group of companies and organizations, including KGLT Public Radio, Museum of the Rockies, Bentson Law Firm and Walt Disney World. Joelle is working toward a BS in Business, Accounting option at Montana State University.
